High Performance Endorsement

If you would like to rent our Cessna 172 XPs you will need to obtain a High Performance Endorsement (HPE). To obtain a high performance endorsement, pilots who already hold a private pilot license (PPL) or higher rating can pursue specialized training in high-performance aircraft which have greater than 200hp. The process typically involves ground instruction to familiarize pilots with the specific aircraft systems, limitations, and performance characteristics of high-power aircraft. Pilots also receive flight training to develop the skills necessary to safely handle the increased power, speed, and complexity of these aircraft. The training focuses on areas such as takeoffs, landings, maneuvering, and emergency procedures specific to high-power aircraft. After completing the required training, pilots must pass a practical test with a qualified flight instructor to demonstrate their competence in operating high-performance aircraft. Upon successful completion, pilots receive the high power endorsement, enabling them to fly high-performance aircraft with confidence and skill.
